‎President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Tokyo, Japan, to participate in the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD).

‎The President, who departed Abuja on Thursday with a brief stopover in the United Arab Emirates, was received on arrival at Haneda Airport, Tokyo, by Ambassador Hideo Matsubara, Ambassador in charge of TICAD.

‎President Tinubu is in Japan to join other African leaders, development partners, and global stakeholders at the high-level summit, which focuses on strengthening partnerships between Africa and Japan in areas such as trade, investment, infrastructure, and human capital development.

‎During the visit, the Nigerian leader is expected to highlight his administration’s reforms aimed at stabilizing the economy, creating opportunities for investors, and advancing Nigeria’s role as a key partner in Africa’s development agenda.

‎The TICAD summit provides a platform for dialogue and collaboration, with Japan reaffirming its commitment to supporting Africa’s growth through innovation, technology transfer, and sustainable development initiatives.
