Kwara State Fire Service pledges to strengthen inter-agency collaboration in emergency response, in line with the state government’s commitment to safeguarding the lives and wellbeing of residents.

According to a statement by the agency’s Head of Media and Publicity, Hassan Adekunle, the resolve was made at a strategic meeting convened by the State Ministry of Communications to enhance synergy among emergency responders.

Discussions at the meeting focused on strengthening communication infrastructure across all emergency response agencies in the state, with support from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

The statement also emphasized the need for citizens to adopt and utilize the dedicated toll-free emergency number for rapid and effective service delivery during emergencies.

Agencies represented at the meeting included the Nigeria Police, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), and the Kwara State Hospital Management Board.
