Personal Assistant on media and publicity to the Minister of Defence, Malam Mati Ali has debunked a fake election result attributed to the Minister.
In a statement issued to Radio Nigeria, the statement explains that the results from the actual polling unit where the Minister cast his vote as announced by INEC, indicates that the APC scored one hundred and eighty-eight votes, while the PDP scored one hundred and sixty-four votes.
It points out that the Minster’s actual polling unit is Babura kofar Arewa primary school polling unit 002, and not Babura kofar Arewa polling unit 001.
The statement describes the online results as false, deliberately misleading and the handiwork of mischief makers seeking to distort facts and tarnish the image of the Minister.
It calls on the general public and the media to disregard the fake results in circulation and place reliance only on the authentic results as declared by INEC.
