The Sule Tankarkar Executive Council in Jigawa State has approved major funding for community development projects in healthcare and infrastructure.

At its meeting chaired by the Council Chairman, Alhaji Tasi’u Adamu, the council also approved the construction of three modern Tsangaya schools.

He said, the schools would be constructed at Danzomo, Shabaru and Rukutu.

According to him, when completed the schools will be named after the late Senator Dalha Ahmad DanZomo, Musa Waziri Kamus and Ali Ado.

The council also approved the construction and renovation of several mosques in Hannun Giwa, Dan Ladin Gumel and Tsangaya mosque in Sule Tankarkar town.

He further explained that, 5 new daily prayer mosques will be constructed at Chiromawa village in Amanga ward, Kofar Yamma in Sule Tankarkar ward and one at Babban Sara.

He said, the council approved the construction of 3 primary health centers at Dan Makama, Mai Mazari and Sarkin Gandu villages.

Other projects approved by the council include a new drainage in Bango village and a solar powered water scheme in Lula village.

Alhaji Tasi’u Adamu said, the council also approved the sum of 11 million naira for the purchase of hand pump materials to improve water supply while 5.5 million naira was allocated for malaria prevention, including the purchase of medicine and mosquito sprayers among others.

The chairman said, the council also approved the renovation of the legislative speaker’s office and 7 supervisory councillors offices to provide conducive atmosphere for administrative functions.

Tasi’u Adamu pointed out that, these initiatives are a core part of his 5 point agenda adopted from the 11 point agenda of Governor Umar Namadi.
