Kano State Commissioner for Internal Security and Special Services, retired Air Vice Marshal Ibrahim Umaru, has donated security equipment worth over one hundred thousand naira to the Tudun Yola Community Security Committee.

Presenting the items on behalf of the commissioner, retired Deputy Superintendent of Police Adamu Muhammad said the gesture was aimed at strengthening security operations in the area.

He commended the committee’s commitment to safeguarding lives and property, urging them to sustain their efforts.

Muhammad also reaffirmed the ministry’s readiness to support initiatives that will curb insecurity and promote peace across the state.

Receiving the items, Chairman of the Tudun Yola Community Security Committee, Alhaji Ado Ilyasu, expressed profound gratitude to the commissioner for his unwavering support, pledging that the donated materials would be used judiciously.

Similarly, Chairman of the Tudun Yola Youth Development Association, Alhaji Aminu Hamisu Saurari, lauded Governor Abba Kabiru Yusuf’s administration for its achievements in various sectors and commended the commissioner’s personal contributions to community development.

The State Commandant of Vigilante Groups, Alhaji Shehu Rabiu, also praised the commissioner for empowering local vigilantes, urging the committee to ensure the equipment is put to effective use.

The donated items include twenty searchlights, five handcuffs, ten walkie-talkies, and one hundred defensive sticks (gora).
