Kaduna State University (KASU) has appointed seasoned media consultant and veteran broadcaster Hamza Musa Makarfi as its new Director of Corporate Services.

The appointment, approved by Vice Chancellor Professor Abdullahi Ibrahim Musa, takes immediate effect. In a congratulatory letter, the Registrar of the University, Mrs. Samira Balarabe, expressed confidence that Makarfi’s experience will enhance stakeholder engagement and elevate public communication at KASU.

Makarfi is a former Zonal Director of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Kaduna Network Centre, with a distinguished media career spanning several decades. He previously served as General Manager of NTA Lafia, Senior Producer at NTA Abuja, and State House Correspondent during the Jonathan administration.

Notably, he has produced key national policy programmes such as 7 Point Agenda and Power Links, earning a reputation for excellence in public affairs programming.

Beyond broadcasting, Makarfi is also an academic. He holds a Master’s degree in Mass Communication from Benue State University and a bachelor’s degree from Bayero University, Kano.
