The Kaduna State House of Assembly has confirmed the appointments of two commissioner nominees forwarded by Governor Uba Sani for screening and approval.

In an official correspondence to the Assembly, Governor Sani nominated Professor Abubakar Sani Sambo as Commissioner for Education and Barrister Gloria Ibrahim as Commissioner for Youth and Development.

During Thursday’s plenary session, the nominees were screened and subsequently confirmed by the lawmakers.

The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Dahiru Liman, urged the newly confirmed commissioners to bring their expertise and experience to bear in revitalizing the state’s education sector and advancing youth development.

Addressing journalists after the screening, Professor Sambo pledged to overhaul the education sector by expanding access, rehabilitating infrastructure, and improving the quality of teaching across institutions in the state.

Similarly, Barr. Ibrahim expressed her commitment to Governor Sani’s vision of inclusive youth engagement and development, vowing to work towards creating opportunities for young people across Kaduna State.

The confirmation of the commissioners marks a significant step in the administration’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance and deliver on key development priorities.
