A financial expert, Professor Yusha’u Ibrahim Ango of Kaduna State University, has advised the Federal Government to ensure the safety of trucks transporting fuel and gas to designated areas to curb frequent road accidents nationwide.

Professor Yusha’u gave the advice in response to the recent accident in Abuja, which claimed eight lives and damaged fifteen vehicles.

He emphasized the need for stringent safety measures to protect users of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) vehicles and other road users, similar to the safety protocols in place for domestic gas facilities.

He also suggested enforcement of road workers for all categories of vehicles by relevant traffic officials witness in the past to reduce such calamities on the nation’s highways.

The financial expert while commenting on refusal of NNPCL to sale crude oil in Naira to Local Refineries called for reversal of the reaction to provide fuel at affordable prices rather than resort to imports.
