Governor Dauda Lawal has approved the appointment of Yakubu Sani Haidara as the substantive Head of the Zamfara State Civil Service.

The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was announced in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Malam Abubakar Mohammad Nakwada, through his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Sulaiman Ahmad Tudu.

According to the statement, Haidara succeeds Ahmad Liman, who retired on February 28, 2025.

Haidara, a 1989 graduate of Political Science from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, was appointed Permanent Secretary in 2012 and has served in various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs), including among others.

Governor Lawal expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his selfless service and dedication to the state.

He urged the newly appointed HoS to uphold integrity and strictly adhere to Public Service rules in discharging his duties.
