Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Mrs. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has extended her heartfelt congratulations to Amanda Azubuike on her promotion to Brigadier General in the United States Army.

In a statement issued from Abuja, Dabiri-Erewa described Azubuike’s achievement as a testament to her dedication, resilience, and exceptional service.

Born in London to a Nigerian father and a Zimbabwean mother, Azubuike enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1994 and trained as an aviator.

Throughout her distinguished career, she has held various leadership positions, including platoon leader, flight operations officer, and public affairs officer. She currently serves as Deputy Commanding Officer at the U.S. Army Cadet Command.

Dabiri-Erewa commended Azubuike’s promotion as a groundbreaking milestone that not only breaks barriers but also highlights the valuable contributions of Nigerians in the diaspora.

She encouraged Nigerians around the world to draw inspiration from Azubuike’s success and pursue excellence in their respective fields.
