Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has commended the continued relationship with the British government.

He stated this when the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office-FCDO’s newly assigned Development Director, Mrs. Cynthia Dowe, and her delegation paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House, Dutse the state capital.

Governor Umar Namadi stressed that his administration accords much priority to the issue of accountability.

The Governor assured the delegation that his administration is keen on following up on the performance bond signed by the members of the state executive council to see to its implementation.

Earlier, Mrs. Cynthia Dowe said the UK has an over two year beneficial partnership in Jigawa State, which she said they will continue to cherish.

She thanked the Governor for the support and cooperation the FCDO has been enjoying in the state.
