Veteran Hausa movie Actress Saratu Gidado aka DASO has passed away at the age of 56years.She was among earliest artistes to featured in Nupe Film in grand cross cultural movies, before she ventured into acting Hausa films.

According to Reports, Daso died in her sleep in the early hours of Tuesday after the Sahur meal before the commencement of the day’s Ramadan fast

The Jana’izah was held in Kano inline with Islamic rite

Saratu Gidado Daso was a prominent figure in the Hausa film industry for over 18 years. She was also a dedicated school teacher before launching her illustrious acting career.

Some of her lifetime achievements in the film industry, where she featured in different Nupe movies, including “Eyekondunu Eba Yawo Daso” alongside Late Etsu Edzo Nupe (Sarkin Wasan Nupe) Sadisu Mohammed Teacher Eyekondunu of the blessed memories.

Despite her success in the film industry, She was a loving wife and mother. Her resilience and dedication to her craft served as an inspiration to many aspiring actors and actresses in the Kannywood.
