Governor Umar Namadi has written to the Jigawa State House of Assembly seeking the confirmation of 16 Commissioner nominees.

This was contained in a statement signed and made available to newsmen in Dutse by the secretary to the  state government Alhaji Bala Ibrahim.

The statement explained that the nominees include Ibrahim Babangida Umar, Professor Hannatu Sabo Muhammad, Dr. Muhammad Abdullahi Kainuwa, Aminu Kanta, Ahmed Garba, Ibrahim Garba Hannun Giwa and Dr. Lawan Yunusa Danzomo.

Others are Dr. Isah Yusuf Chamo, Sagir Musa Ahmed, Hadiza Abdulwahab, Colonel Muhammad Alhassan (rtd), Dr. Nura Ibrahim Dandoka and Engineer Gambo Shu’aibu Mallam. 

The SSG said the rest include Auwal Danladi Sankara, Musa Adamu Aliyu and Muttaka Namadi.

According to him, Governor Umar Namadi, in the letter, said that the request for the confirmation of the nominees was in accordance with Section 192 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended.
