Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Faruk Yahaya has identified training as key to Professionalism in the Army.
He stated this shortly after Commissioning some Projects at the thirty-seven Demonstration Battalion, Nigerian Defence Academy-NDA Kaduna.
Lt General Faruk Yahaya explained that Demonstration Batallions are Training Units Based in Training Institutions that are saddled with the responsibility of Providing Security to the Institutions, while others are on Training.
He maintained that in line with his Philosophy of Command which are Professionalism, Administration and Co-operation Instructors at the Batallion deserve a befitting Accommodation and other Infrastructures so as to effectively deliver on their Mandate.
The Army Chief noted that other Services of the Armed Forces are also making efforts towards adding value to the Academy with a view to enhancing the quality of Training in the Institution.
Lt General Yahaya commended the Commandant, Major General Ibrahim Manu Yusuf for improving the Standard of Training in the Institution.
Some of the Projects Commissioned by the Army Chief included Newly Constructed Armoury/Magazine,Newly Constructed Officers quarters, Newly Constructed Senior Non-Commissioned Officers quarters as well as Newly Constructed Cadet Brigade quarters.
