Emir of Anka Alhaji Attahiru Muhammad Ahmad has advocated for synergy among committee members and the political office holders in sharing formulae to avoid duplication of beneficiaries of Extended Special Public Works Program.

The Emir made this known in Anka, while inaugurating the program at zonal level in his palace.

Alhaji Attahiru Ahmad said the committee had work tirelessly towards selecting the beneficiaries but few individuals and politicians were favoured during the disbursement of forms.

He also advised the beneficiaries to established a Cooperative societies so as to engage themselves in small scale businesses such as fish farming, poultry and rice farming in order to become self reliant.

In a remark, the Chairman Selection Committee of the Program , Engineer Ahmed Garban Yandi said they were in Anka to distribute materials to beneficiaries for the commencement of the program in Anka, Bakura, Bukuyum, Gummi, Maru and Maradun local government areas.

He added that, each person would receive #20,000 naira monthly for a 3 months and that more people were expected to be selected to benefit from the program.

Earlier, the state coordinator of NDE Malam Abdullahi Yakubu
call on the participants to accept the gesture with seriousness as their means of lively hood adding that those with high qualifications would served as supervisors.

He explained that, NDE had disbursed #20,000 each to 2,300 people in 2020 as capital to develop businesses while 700 people were to be employ and train to acquire small scale business this year.
