The governing council of the Federal University, Dutse-FUD has announced the appointment of Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Muhammad as new Vice chancellor of the institution.
The Pro Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council of the University, Ahmed Alti announced the appointment in a statement in Dutse.
The statement explains that thirty five professors applied, who were shortlisted for interview and three best candidates emerged from which the Council chose Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Muhammed as the new VC.
The tenure of the incumbent VC, Professor Fatima Batul Muktar expires in February, 2021.
The statement adds that Professor Abdulkarim who is currently the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic Services of the University is a distinguished professor of Biotechnology.
