APC Unveils 422-Member Presidential Campaign Council

All Progressives Congress (APC) has released a 422-member Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) ahead of the commencement of the party’s 2023 presidential campaign to be headed by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The list released in Abuja on Saturday, has Sen. Bola Tinubu, the party’s 2023 presidential candidate and Abdullahi Adamu, its National chairman, serving as deputy chairmen of the council.

Gov. Simon Lalong of Plateau is the Director General with James Faleke as secretary.

The party’s Vice-Presidential candidate, Sen. Kashim Shettima, is the vice chairman with Adams Oshiomhole, former APC National Chairman as the deputy director-general (Operations) and Hadiza usman, the deputy director-general (Admin).

Also on the list are Governors of Kebbi, Jigawa, Ebonyi, Cross River, Ondo, Gombeand Zamfara among others.

The Presidential Campaign Council with its directorates would be inaugurated next week at the Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Office in Abuja.

Meanwhile the Presidential Campaign Council says the exemption of Vice President Yemi Osibanjo and Secretary to the Government of the Federation Mr. Boss Mustapha, was deliberate.

In a statement to reactions on their exclusion, the Director of Public Affairs of the Campaign Council, Mr. Festus Keyamo, explained that they were to take charge of governance as the campaigns last.
