Commander General of the Kano State Hisbah board, Sheikh Dr. Harun Muhammad Sani Ibn Sina, has charged its personnel to redouble their efforts, in discharging their responsibilities to achieve the desired objectives.

Sheikh Ibn Sina, made the call during a one day sensitization workshop, organized for hisbah ward commanders, across the forty four local government areas in the state.

The commander general described the workshop as the first of its kind, since the establishment of the board.

He maintained that, it was organized to educate the four hundred and eighty four ward commanders, on how to discharge their duties effectively in the areas of dispute resolution, counseling, protection of lives and property as well as eradicating societal vices.

Sheikh Ibn Sina, stressed that the board would organize another workshop, for the ward commanders to uplift the board to international standards.

Earlier in his remarks, director general Kano state hisbah board, Alhaji Abdullahi Balarabe, noted that the workshop would go a long way in boosting capabilities of the commanders.

He said, as an agency saddled with responsibilities of inculcating good moral values, it becomes necessary for the hisbah corps to exhibit discipline at all times to maintain the confidence reposed on them.

Alhaji Abdullahi, urged them to keep record of their activities, to promote professionalism, be good ambassadors and steadfast in practicing the teachings of Islam.
