Governor Nasiru El-rufai of Kaduna State has applauded security agencies on the improved offensive operation against bandits and criminals in the state.

He made this known while declaring open the Kaduna Book and Art Festival Fourth Edition in Kaduna.

Governor Elrufai who regretted that, kaduna – Abuja train is still not available due to insecurity, said that in the last six weeks there has been improved offensive operation against criminals.

Malam Nasiru Elrufai also expressed confidence that the ongoing operation would be sustained.

By the time you come back for Kabafest you can drive comfortably without any security ,or take the train to kaduna “he said.

He pointed out that, Kaduna is a place where everyone can feel at home with no provision for indigenes , tribes or religion

According to him what matters in kaduna is common humanities, adding that, any one that choose to live or work in the state and pay tax is an indigene of Kaduna State.

Governor El-rufai further expressed happiness for seeing many young people doing so well in poetry and writing among others, revealing that is what they hope to achieve in the state.

According to him, the future of Kaduna is in the hands of young people ,particularly women while the government is determined to give them the opportunity.

Malam Nasiru Elrufai however called on the citizens to vote for people who would address their problems and those who have attempted to address their problems.

“Even if they did not solve it at least they have attempted to do so ,compare to those who created them” he said.

Highlights of the event include presentation of lifetime achievement award to Professor Audee Giwa by Governor El-Rufai.
