The Ilorin Zonal Command of the Economic And Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has arrested a 29-year-old Chinese national, Gang Deng over alleged illegal mining in Ilorin, Kwara State.

A statement by the Commission’s Head of Media and Publicity, Wilson Uwujaren said Deng was found to have crude minerals without authority.

According to him, a truck load of minerals suspected to be lepidolite was recovered from him.

Uwujaren added that the suspect would be charged to court as soon as investigations were concluded.
