The New Comptroller, Nigeria Immigration Service, Kaduna State Command, Liman Sani Kila

Nigeria Immigration Service NIS, Kaduna State Command, has promised to strengthen collaboration with other security agencies to checkmate illegal migrations.

The new Comptroller of the Command Liman Sani Kila made the promise while addressing men of the service during his assumption into office in Kaduna.

Sani Kila tasked men of the Command with diligence, nothing that, most security threats and attacks were carried out by non-Nigerians.

“It is not going to be business as usual. As the new Comptroller of Immigration Kaduna state command, I am going to consolidate on the efforts of the past Comptrollers and work in synergy with other security agencies.”

The Comptroller after inspecting the quarter guard further emphasized that, the control of persons entering or leaving the state is the responsibility of the service.

He also disclosed that the immigration service already had an established ECOWAS section saddled with the responsible of issuing residence permits to foreigners, as empowered by Section 2 of the Immigration Act, 2015.

“As part of our efforts to secure the boarders, our men are attached to Operation Yaki. The essence of the collaboration is to checkmate the illegal movements of non Nigerians into the state,” the new Comptroller explained.
