The Nigeria Police in Sokoto state says it is currently working towards strengthening the existing levels of collaboration with the Military and other relevant security agencies to reverse the incessant security challenges facing the country.
Commissioner of Police in the state, Muhammad Usaini Gumel stated this while decorating eighteen promoted senior police officers to higher ranks in the state.
He noted that the increasing security challenges calls for a renewed commitment and synergy, stressing that all hands must be on deck in a bit to securing peace in the country.
Muhammad Usaini Gumel assured that the Sokoto Command is committed to protecting critical government installations especially the correctional service facilities in the state.
According to him, they have identified the gaps and vulnerabilities at the custodial facilities and currently complementing the service strength in an effort to upscaling security in and around the facilities to avoid security breach .
He added that the promoted officers were among the recently released promotion nationwide.
