Report from Zaria and environs says business and commercialized activities has been crippled following the removal of fuse at different transformer stations.

Our correspondent in Zaria reports that KAEDCO officials removed the fuse connected to supply power to the users without any notice.

The most affected area is Tudun wada Zaria where all commercial activities have been crippled including welding, tailoring, mechanics workshop among others .

Some of the business owners decried the action of the electricity distribution company which has made them unable to feed their families.

Speaking during the press briefing, spokesman of Tudun Wada Zaria communities, Dr Hassan Lawal explained that on the 8 of August, 2022, staff of KAEDCO removed their transformer without notice .

Dr Hassan Lawal called on the Emir of Zazzau, Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli to intervene so as to restore power supply.

Some business owners, Malam Ibrahim Hassan and Labaran Ibrahim explained that their business has been seriously affected due to the action of KAEDCO.

Malam Hassan Umar who is a mechanic by profession said for past ten days, they have been rendered idle as they rely on power supply to carry out their activities.

Other areas in Zaria and environs also witnessing similar problems are Unguwar Kayaba behind Unguwar Amaru, Rimin Danza, Gwargwaje along Kaduna road ,Nagoyi junction transformer located near Arsalan jumaat among others.

When contacted, the Zaria district manager of KAEDCO said only the headquarters can speak on the issue.
