SOKAPU National President Resigns

Acting National president of SOKAPU Addressing Journalists.

The Southern Kaduna People’s Union SOKAPU has announced the resignation of it’s National President Mr. Jonathan Asake and has been secceeded by the Vice president One, in acting capacity

Chairman, Board of Trustee of the Union Mr. Steven Bangoji announced this at a News Briefing in Kaduna.

He said the Board received letter of resignation from the Outgone president and acted in accordance with the constitutional provision of SOKAPU by swearing in the Vice President in acting capacity to continue with affairs of the Union.

Mr. Steven Bangoji appreciated the former President for selfless service to the people and urged the Acting President to emulate him.

Responding, the Acting National president of the Union, Mr. Aweni Dio Maisamari described the appointment as a great honor and pledged to continue from where the former National president stopped in tackling challenges of the zone.

The former SOKAPU National president, Jonathan Asake who served in the capacity for three years told Journalists that he stepped down in response to a clarion call by his people and thank the Union for the opportunity and support given to him during his leadership.
