Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila has congratulated Nigerian Muslims on the new Islamic Year 1444 AH.

In a statement, Mr Gbajabiamila said the New Islamic Year 1444 AH was a significant event in the life of every Muslim, calling for sober reflection and rededication to the service of the Almighty Allah.

The speaker stated that Muslims should use the New Year to pray for peace and unity in the country, especially in light of the nation’s challenges.

He also urged Muslims to be their brothers’ keepers and to pray for national development.

Mr Gbajabiamila called on Muslims to pray fervently for the peaceful conduct of the general elections in 2023.
