Parents have been advised to inculcate good moral values to their children to ensure a peaceful and crime free society.
A renowned Islamic scholar in Kano, Sheikh Muhammad Bin Othman made the call during an exclusive interview with Radio Nigeria.
According to him, good moral upbringing among youths is one of the catalysts to the development of a nation, through peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding.
He described Islam as a religion of peace which preaches peaceful coexistence irrespective of ethnic and religious differences.
Sheikh Muhammad Bin othman pointed out that, peace can be achieved through respecting each other’s religion, ethnicity and embracing one another.
The Islamic scholar explained that appreciating one another especially among youths would go a long way in mitigating ethnic and religious conflicts as Nigeria means unity in diversity.
