The Northwest zone of All Progressives Congress APC, has resolved to work for the unity of party members and also mobilize Nigerians to vote for the success of Tinubu and Shettima as the next President and Vice President of Nigeria.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Zonal Secretary, Alhaji Musa Mailafiya Mada and made available to journalist in Kaduna.
According to the statement, the Zonal Vice Chairman, Mallam Salihu Lukman led the Party delegation to Dutse Jigawa State on a tour, where he met with various stakeholders to discuss how to achieve success, particularly in the Northwest zone at the 2023 general elections.
It says that among issues raised at the meeting was the emergence of Senator Kashim Shettima as the running mate of the party’s Presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu and how the Zone should position itself in bringing victory to the party at all levels.
The statement noted that Mallam Salihu Lukman attributed the poor turn out of voter registration to the inadequacy of capturing systems within the zone.
The statement quoted the Jigawa State Deputy Governor Mallam Umar Namadi saying the state government has established a committee charged with ensuring the success of voters registration exercise in the state.
Mallam Umar Namadi thanked the zonal leadership for visiting the state on a fact finding mission, stressing that government had established a reconciliation committee saddled with the responsibility of reaching out to aggrieved party members.
