The federal government says the present administration has embarked on construction and rehabilitation of road projects as well as other infrastructure that have a direct bearing on the lives of Nigerians.
President Muhammadu Buhari stated this in Birniwa Local Government Area of Jigawa state during the commissioning of the 33km Hadejia-Nguru phase II road project worth 7.9 billion naira.
He said, his government had constructed and rehabilitated several roads and bridges across the length and breadth of the country from 2015 to date.

Buhari who was represented by the Minister of Water Resources, Alhaji Suleiman Adamu, warned relevant government agencies to enforce the 100 kilometers speed limit on nigerian roads to reduce unnecessary accidents.
In a speech, the Minister of Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Raji Fasola, said President Buhari’s administration had also provided infrastructure in the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria.
According to him, many projects had been completed and commissioned, while others were being completed and would be commissioned soon.
Also speaking, Governor Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa state commended President Muhammadu Buhari for the road projects.

Badaru who was represented by his Deputy, Mallam Umar Namadi said the state had benefitted immensely from the federal government projects from 2015 to date.
In a message to the occasion, the Emir of Hadejia Dr Adamu Abubakar Maje pointed out that, the rehabilitation of Hadejia-Nguru road which linked to Gashua road in Yobe state would boost socio economic activities of Jigawa and Yobe states.


Radio Nigeria reports that the commissioning ceremony was attended by some members of the Federal and state house of assembly as well as Commissioners and top government officials.
