Gubernatorial Candidate of Peoples Democratic Party PDP in Jigawa, Alhaji Mustapha Sule Lamido has visited the State Chairman Council of Chiefs, Dr Adamu Abubakar Maje in his palace to seek blessings.
Radio Nigeria reports that the aspirant seeks for the blessings, prayers and guidance from the Emir.
Alhaji Mustapha Sule Lamido who is the Santurakin Dutse, thanks God Almighty for making Jigawa a united and peaceful state.
He assured the Emir that, they would remain faithful and responsible children of Jigawa state.
The Santurakin Dutse, reaffirmed that if elected as the Governor, the state PDP leadership would continue to remain loyal, obedient and supportive to the royal circle in the state.
He said, the PDP would continue to hope and pray for a unity of purpose, mutual understanding, peaceful coexistence and positive societal changes.
The PDP Governorship candidate Mustapha Sule Lamido appreciated the efforts of the traditional rulers in promoting peace and harmony for securing peace.
Responding, the Emir of Hadejia Dr Adamu Abubakar Maje advised Mustapha Lamido and other party candidates to be fervent in their prayers to God.
The Emir urged people to obtain the permanent voter’s card and pray for the peaceful conduct of the 2023 General elections.
Also speaking, the former PDP Chairman and an Elder of the party, Alhaji Isa Duniya Ba Hutu said as part of the party’s tradition in the state, immediately after party primaries for elective positions are concluded, the candidates visit traditional rulers to consult and seek royal blessings.
Our Correspondent reports that, the gubernatorial candidate visits to Hadejia emirate, is part of his statewide consultations, blessing and support seeking from the traditional class, critical stakeholders and the entire Jigawa citizens.
