Nigerian Army says it is channelling huge resources to ensure the smooth running of its projects for effective service delivery.

Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Colonel Sagir Musa stated this when the Chief of Army Staff, Lt General Tukur Yusuf Buratai paid a working visit to Command Engineering Depot, Kaduna.

Colonel Sagir Musa explained that the Army Chief was at the depot to assess ongoing works, and construction of combat vehicles especially the mines resistant ambush protected vehicles.

He maintained that the vehicles are a force multiplier to the Army in their various theatres of operations, notably the North East and North West regions, where they are battling with bandits and insurgents respectively.

The Acting Director, who noted that the projects saves the country Billions of Naira in foreign exchange, also expressed the hope that other African countries will patronize the goods.

Colonel Sagir Musa also dosclosed that the Nigerian Army will soon launch its indigenous Aircraft to assist it in its mission areas.

The Army Chief also inspected the Nigerian Army intervention projects and damaged armoured vehicles that were repaired in collaboration with the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON).

Lt General Tukur Buratai who was accompanied on the visit by other senior military officers, was taken round the depot by the Commander, Major General Sunday Simon Araoye.
