Senator Sabo Muhammad Nakudu has donated brand new tractors and farming implements to seven District Heads in Dutse emirate of Jigawa State
The personnel assistant to the lawmaker, Alhaji Garba Iliyasu Yalwan Damai presented the keys of the tractors to the beneficiaries in Dutse, the state capital.
According to him, the gesture is part of the lawmaker’s contribution to complementing the federal and state government’s efforts at improving food production in the state and the country in general.
Alhaji Garba Iliyasu urged the District Heads to make good use of the tractors to improve farming activities in their domain.
In a speech, the Emir of Dutse Dr Nuhu Muhammadu Sanusi commended the effort of the lawmaker for the gesture.
The Emir, represented by the District head of Kiyawa, Alhaji Adamu Aliyu promised to make good use of the tractors.
He said the beneficiaries would subsidize the higher cost of hiring the tractors among farmers to benefit from the services.
Radio Nigeria reports that, the tractors and farming implement were donated to District heads of Dutse, Kiyawa, Miga, Jahun , Buji, Gwaram and Birnin Kudu.
