The Recent reconciliation between
the former governor of Zamfara State Alhaji Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar, led APC faction and that of governor Bello Matawalle are not based on material gain but the interest of the state.
Abdul’aziz Yari Abubakar made the pronouncement in Talata-Mafara Local Government Area while receiving members of the state Executive Council who paid him a solidarity visit.
Abdul’aziz Yari said that the recent reconciliation of APC warring factions in the state was the work of Almighty God and called on their supporters to embrace the development.
The former Governor also commended Governor Matawalle for his efforts in ensuring the success of the reconciliation drive and development of the party, democracy and the state in general.
He also commends the high delegation for the visit and urges him to extend the reconciliation drive to the teeming supporters at the grassroots level.
Earlier, the Secretary to the State Government who led the delegation, Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe, said the visit was to commend the former governor for accepting the APC reconciliation drive for the betterment of democracy and the entire state.
The Executive members assured support and loyalty to the leaders of the reconciliation and expressed their happiness with the way and manner it had been done.
In a vote of thanks, the information commissioner Ibrahim Magaji Dosara thanked the former governor for receiving members of the state executive council and strongly believed that, the gesture yielded positive results for the development of the state.
The state executive council were led by the secretary to the state government, Head of Service, Special Advisers and commissioners of various ministries.
