President Muhammadu Buhari has signed the amended Electoral Bill into law.

Prior to signing the Bill, however, the President drew the attention of the National Assembly to some provisions he perceived as unconstitutional.

Based on his observations, President Buhari said the Act would be send back to the National Assembly for further amendment.

He thanked the 9th Assembly for taking the pains to actualise the aim of eliminating the ugly situations during electioneerings and elections.
