Jigawa state High court has sentenced a rapist for life imprisonment.
Declaring the judgement at Birnin Kudu, Justice Musa Ubale said the court found Haladu Sani Mai-Rama of Bigidan town of Birnin Kudu Local government area guilty for raping an eleven-year-old girl.
Justice Musa Ubale further explained that, the court in which the convict was found guilty, sentenced him to life imprisonment under section 282 penal code law.
Similarly, the court has discharged and acquitted Usman Lamido Isah Baba of Adiyani village in Guri local government for the offence of capable homicide charge under section 222 (4) of the penal code law.
The court also discharged and acquitted Sama’ila Sani of Tilli Bukwui village of Buji local government area for the alleged offence of intimidation, enticing women and rape punishable under section 397, 389 and 282 respectively.
