President Muhammadu Buhari has called on the House of Representatives to pass the proceeds of Crime Bill and the Whistleblower Bill as well as the Witness Protection Bill.

In a letter read by the Speaker Mr Femi Gbajabiamila on the floor of the house, the president said this is to increase Nigeria’s global profile in the fight against corruption.

According to him, the Bills would also reaffirm Nigeria’s rating as a leader in Africa in the areas of developing structures for recovery, repatriation and disposal of proceeds of crime.
