Tactical Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force in Zamfara State has neutralized many Bandits, recover dangerous weapons and rescue 3 Kidnapped victims in their hideout at Bakin Ruwa.
During a Press Conference in Gusau, the Commissioner of Police Zamfara State Command, CP Ayuba N Elkana said, military and Police have continue defeating the criminals in the state to deny them freedom of action.
According to him, acting on intelligence report, the Police Tactical Operatives on bush clearance who stormed the bandits hideout near Bakin Ruwa in Maradun Forest had an encounter with the bandits during which many were killed, others escaped with gunshot wound.
He noted that, while on combing and searching at the scene, they recovered 8 AK47 Rifle, 1 General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG), One Rocket launcher and 5 Magazines.
CP Elkana said, the Police have also repelled bandits attacks at Musawa, Keta and Tudun Masau villages in Tsafe and Bungudu Local Government Areas respectively where 1 AK47 Rifle, 4 rounds of live ammunition, 69 Cows were recovered after an encounter with the bandits which left one of them dead.
He added that, the Police have successfully rescued 3 Kidnapped Victims including a 3 Months old baby at Karakkai District and had since been reunited with their families.
