Nigeria has recorded 437 new cases of COVID-19 with 6 deaths.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control-NCDC confirmed this in an early-morning Facebook post on Thursday while giving an update on the outbreak of the disease in the country.

The new cases were recorded in 17 states and the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Lagos recorded 126, the highest number of the fresh infections followed by Rivers and Kwara States where 76 new cases were recorded respectively.

Others include, FCT – 37, Edo – 32, Kaduna – 30, Anambra – 22, Delta – 22, Osun – 12, Benue – 7, Abia – 6, Nasarawa – 6, Kano – 5, Ekiti – 3, Plateau – 3, Bayelsa – 2, Ogun – 2, and Oyo – 2.

This brings the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 to 205,484, death toll rose to 2,701 with 193,482 treated.9,286 cases are active in various treatment centres across the country.
