As the directive given by Nigerian Communication Commission, NCC to Telecom service providers to shutdown their network enters fourth week In Zamfara State, people continue to express mixed reactions about the issue.

Radio Nigeria Correspondent in Gusau, reports that residents have to travel to Zaria, Sokoto or some parts of Katsina state to access network for personal and official purposes.

According to him social and economic activities remain stagnant and paralyzed especially to those who rely on the network for their business services like POS operators, Banks, recharge cards sellers as well as food vendors.

He explained that journalists working in the state were also facing the same challenges as they have to travel out of the state or to climb a mountain in order to access network to send their reports.

Similarly, some have to hire a vehicle to convey them to Sokoto, Zaria or katsina state in order to do their work.

Most of the people interviewed by Radio Nigeria expressed hope that the measures taken by the state government would yield positive results in curbing the menace of insecurity affecting the state and beyond.

The State Government and security agencies however appeals to good people of the state to be patient over measures put in place, to remain calm, law abiding and appreciate efforts aimed at ensuring peace, stability are restored in the state.
