President Muhammadu Buhari has sought for stronger co-operation between Nigeria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The President’s call is contained in a congratulatory message to the Saudi Monarch and Custodian of 2 Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud and the Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman, on the occasion of the Saudi Arabian National Day.

A statement by the Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, says President Buhari deeply values the special relationship between the 2 countries, which is based on co-operation and longstanding mutual support to each other.

Nigeria, according to the statement, remains firmly committed to the deepening of the special bilateral relations.

The President is optimistic that the robust ties between the 2 nations would be further cemented in the years ahead to cover the existing and new areas of common interests
