Federal government says it is committed to creating a stable micro economy business environment by providing infrastructure and ensuring security across the country.
Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinanjo stated this while delivering his speech at the Kaduna State Investment Summit KADINVEST 6.0 held in kaduna.
Professor Osibanjo said jobs and social protection are vital for security and sustainable development.
He explained that, federal government is making accelerated effort to enhance security across the country particularly in the north west region by working with the governors in the states concerned.
Professor Yemi Osinanjo reiterated federal government determination to support and encourage any state government to improve its socio economic development through investors.
According to him, the construction of the AKK pipeline would enable the availability of gas for power and industries in Kaduna while the Kaduna – Abuja – Kano rail line and Abuja to Kano high way would ease the movement of goods of people.
Professor Yemi Osinanjo also Stated that the Ministry of Power and the ADP are working together to ensure that, construction commence on the Mando to new Kano 30 – 30 KV line enhancement.
He maintained that, the KADINVEST had became a platform not only to marketing Kaduna State but the country as a whole as a compelling business destination.
The Vice President also revealed that, the effort and commitment of Governor Nasiru Elrufai has positioned the state to benefit maximally from the critical infrastructure development the present administration.
In a remark, governor Nasiru Elrufai said the state government has attracted about 2.8 billion dollars since the commencement of the KADINVEST in 2016.
The theme for the Kadinvest 6.0 is ” Toward a Sustainable Knowledge Based Economy”.
Both foreign and private investors, traditional rulers, Ministers and other important dignitaries attended the summit.
