The Director General National Emergency Management Agency NEMA Alhaji Mustapha Ahmed has flagged off the distribution of farm imputs to some farmers in North Central zones of Nigeria.

Flagging off the exercise in Minna, the Director General explained that a total of thirty two thousand five hundred and fifty seven farmers have been screened and are to benefit from the agricultural imputs of Federal Government.

Items to be distributed according to him are pesticides, forty eight thousand eight hundred and thirty four litres rice twelve point five kilograms maize, ten kilograms of two hundred and seventy eight bags and two thousand two hundred and fifty two units of sprayers.

In his remarks, Niger state Governor Alh Abubakar Sani Bello represented by his Deputy Ahmed Mohd Ketso applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for taking the right step to ameliorate their hardship and advised farmers to utilise such items judiciously.

Director General Niger state Emergency Management Agency Ibrahim Ahmed Inga expressed confidence that gesture would go along way in comlementing state governments effort at achieving food security.
