About 64 VIP Toilets worth N280 Million naira has been awarded to indigenous contractors by Kwara state government to end open defecation.

Speaking with journalists in Ilorin, chairman of the Indigenous Contractors caretaker committee , Abiola Adegoke, said that the award of the VIP toilet contracts were in two batches of 32 each.

According to him the gesture will help to improve socioeconomic lives of members and the benefiting communities.

Adegoke promised that the privilege given to them through patronage will always be matched with quality services and completion of jobs within scheduled time.

He assured that those handling the projects would ensure adherence to job specifications.
