The Sultan of sokoto Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar has directed the Muslim ummah in The country to start looking for the new moon of Safar ,One thousand four hundred and forty three after hijira, from Tuesday the seventh of September 2021, equivalent to 29th of Muharram.
This was made known in a statement by the chairman advisory committee on religious affairs, Sultanate council Sokoto state, Professor Sambo wali Junaidu.
The statement said if sighted, the information should be forwarded to the nearest district or village head for onwards communication to the Sultan.
