Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps says general assessment on the ongoing local government election in Kaduna State was peacefully.

The State Commandant of the Corp, Mr Godwin Miebi Stated this in an interview with newsmen while inspecting some poling units in kaduna to ascertain the level of security arrangements for the conduct of the election.

Mr Miebi said he went round several poling units and the election was being conducted peacefully across the poling units supervised so far.

He said Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps personnel and other security agencies were on ground at the various poling units to ensure smooth conduct of the election.

Mr Godwin Miebi expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the electorate, “In my own opinion security wise everything is moving smoothly”

He noted that, over 2,500 official are on ground to monitor security situation across the 19 local government area where the election is taking place
