Emir of zazzau Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli has said E- Voting is the way forward as the system was fortified to minimize manipulations of elections.
The Emir made the remarks shortly after casting his votes during the ongoing local council polls at the emir’s palace in Zaria.
He said he was one of the pioneers of e-voting in Nigeria,he knows how it works, noting that he knows that as soon as the last person cast his votes results would be ready.
He said under this system nobody would manipulate figures because as you cast your votes results goes to the collation center.
He stressed that the system addresses ballot box snatching among other challenges.
The Royal father therefore appealed to the residents for a hitch free elections,as whoever wins should be supported by the entire community to ensure peaceful coexistence within the state.
