Governor Nasiru Elrufai of Kaduna State has expressed worry over the low turn out of the electorate in the ongoing local government election in the state.

He stated this while speaking with newsmen shortly after casting his vote at his poling unit, Ungwar Sarki Kaduna North Local government.

Governor Nasiru Elrufai called on people of the state to come out and vote the party of their choice.

He explained that, report sofar indicated that, the election had commenced in all the poling units and urged the electorate to come out enmass to elect candidates of their choice.

The Governor pointed out that, there was significant improvement on the election process especially with the use of the electronic voting machine compare with the 2018 local government election in the state.

“The improved voting machine, we now have makes it nearly impossible to do multiple voting which happened alot in 2018”

He said kaduna state government was committed to free and fair election

“As i said several times we are not going to behave like other parties or other states government where the ruling party rule everything”

“We allow the people of kaduna state to elect who they want, we do not have to win every where, we knew that, we have to work for the people of kaduna state”

Governor Nasiru Elrufai expressed confident that all reasonable and fair minded people would vote for their candidate
