Journalists in the country have been cautioned against allowing themselves to be used by self centered individuals to destabilase the country.

Instead they should uphold the ethics of their profession by exibiting high moral values in the discharge of their responsibilities.

Former Head of State General Abdulsami Abubakar retired said this when he recieved executives members of Nigeria Union of Journalists NUJ Niger state council at his uphill residence in Minna.

General Abdulsami Abubakar insisted that Journalists must help to difuse current tension in Nigeria through balance reportage to enhance the unity and oneness of the country.

On security he described the current security Challenges bedeviling Nigeria as worrisome and called for conserved efforts by all to reverse the ugly trend.

Chairman of NUJ Niger state Council Comrade Abu Nmodu solicited for the support of former Head of State to actualise his programmes targeted at improving lots of his members.
