The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC has ordered a massive deployment of officers and men of the corps to all identified flash points ahead of the Eid-el Kabir celebration.
Officers and men of the NSCDC were also deployed to every nooks and crannies of the country to protect the public and government infrastructures before, during and after the festive season.
Controller General of the Corps, Dr. Mohammed Audi directed all Zonal Commanders and the 36 State Commandants including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), to ensure a hitch-free celebration and general safety of the country.
Dr Audi gave an assurance that all critical national assets and infrastructure such as petroleum pipelines, gas pipelines, communication equipment, and railway sleepers, would be adequately protected during festive seasons and always.
He emphasized that places of worship, motor parks, recreation centers and other flash points would have twenty-four hours surveillance and routine patrols as a measure to prevent crime and guarantee safety.
