The Kebbi State Government has reiterated its commitment towards empowering women in boosting their standard of living.

The State Deputy Governor, Rtd. Colonel Sama’ila Yombe Daba stated this when he received the National Coordinator, Nigeria for Women project, Mrs Ruth Peter Mshelia in his office.

The Deputy Governor who doubles as the State Chairman, Steering Committee for Nigeria for Women Project, expressed appreciation over the visit and reiterated the State Government’s support towards attaining the objectives of the programme in the State.

Earlier, the National Co-ordinator, Nigeria for Women Project, Mrs. Ruth Mshelia said her visit to the State was to familiarize with the State Chairman, Steering Committee for details on proper documentation and effectiveness of their activities.

She commended the State Government for its effort towards addressing security challenges
