President Muhammadu Buhari has decorated the Chief of Army staff, Faruk Yahaya with the rank of Lieutenant General.
The decoration took place before the commencement of the Federal executive council meeting at the state House Abuja.
Present at the decoration brief ceremony were the Minister of Defence, Bashir Salihi Magashi, the service chiefs, Inspector General of Police, the Director General of Department of State Services and the Director General of National intelligent services.
The federal executive council meeting proceeded after the decoration with Vice president Yemi Osinbanjo and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation Boss Mustapha present.
Six ministers were also physically present at the meeting which included that of Finance, Works and housing, Jusitice and Power others were Ministers of state Power and the Minister of Transportation
The head of service of the Federation Folasade Yemi Esan and other Ministers joint the meeting virtually.
